Liesel Lippstreu (Physiotherapist)
Liesel qualified with a BSC (physio) from Cape Town University, South Africa in 1998. She worked in private practice there until moving to Edinburgh in 2001. She worked for six months in the NHS
before practicing from an established private physiotherapy clinic in
Edinburgh until 2007. She was also team physiotherapist to a local
rugby club for four seasons (2001 to 2004) and worked with Scottish Hockey under 21 teams for 3 years (2003 to 2005). She has continued her professional development by attending numerous courses e.g. Pilates, Acupuncture, Ergonomics, Fitforegolf etc. She is also a keen sportswoman having represented both South Africa (1996,1998, 1999) and Scotland (2006 to present) in Touch Rugby.

Briana Eades (Remedial Massage Therapist)
Briana's interest in sport and fitness inevitably lead her into the
health profession. She qualified in 2002 from the Australian College
of Natural Medicine with a Diploma in Health Science-Remedial
Therapies. Since then, she has had experience working in
multidisciplinary teams working alongside physiotherapists, sports
doctors, podiatrists, osteopaths, sports psychologists and
chiropractors.
Briana has been working in Edinburgh since 2005 and is qualified in a
number of massage therapy techniques including Remedial, Sports, Deep
Tissue, Swedish/Relaxation, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and
Aromatherapy. This allows her treatments to be tailored to each
individual's needs. Briana is available for consultations at the
Causewayside Clinic.
Fionna Mackinnon (Physiotherapist)
Fionna qualified with a Bsc
(physiotherapy) from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1993. She has worked
within NHS Scotland specialising in
musculoskeletal physiotherapy since
1996. She is currently a team leader within an NHS physiotherapy department
and a clinical specialist with an NHS orthopaedic assessment clinic. She
has also carried out private work and worked with local rugby clubs
and Scottish hockey. Her specialities include musculoskeletal
problems, sports injuries, chronic pain and women's health.
Fionna
became a full member of the Manipulative Association of Chartered
Physiotherapists (MACP) in 2005. In the UK the MACP is recognised as the
specialist manipulative therapy group by the International Federation of
Orthopaedic Manual Therapists (IFOMT). To obtain membership of the MACP
clinicians have to complete a recognised postgraduate course of study and
pass a stringent examination process.
Fionna is a keen sportswoman and
has represented and captained Scotland in touch rugby. She is also a keen
runner and is a member of Carnethy Hill Runners. Fionna is available for consultations at the Causewayside clinic.
Dan Moore (Physiotherapist)
Dan completed his physiotherapy degree (BHSc) at Auckland University
of Technology in New Zealand in 2003. He worked in private practice in
New Zealand from 2004 to 2006 and also worked for various sporting
teams (rugby, basketball, touch) and was the Samoan physio at the
Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He moved to the UK in 2006 with his
wife and has since worked for the Scottish Rugby Union full time. His
work includes working for Scotland, Scotland 7's and the National
Academy based at Murrayfield. Dan is also studying part-time at Bath
University where he is working towards gaining his Masters in Sports
Physiotherapy. Dan is available for consultations at the Causewayside
Clinic.
David Robertson (Physiotherapist)
David qualified as a
physiotherapist in Edinburgh in 2004. He has worked in a number of
musculoskeletal and sports settings which has given him a broad
experience of these areas. He has had the opportunity to work with
Scottish Academy Cricket, the Scottish Saltires National Cricket
Team, Scottish Academy of Sport and Olympic Athletes, Livingston FC,
Hibernian FC and Edinburgh Rugby. He has also gained good experience
in Occupational Health physiotherapy with Scottish Power, Lothian
and Borders Police, Royal Mail and Scottish Gas, amongst
others.
David strives to stay up to date with the latest
research and evidence which he uses in his assessments and
treatments. He is currently studying his Masters in Musculoskeletal
Physiotherapy. David is available for consultation at both the
Spartans and Causewayside Clinics.
